Job summary

WRNMMC seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to support maintenance across medical device equipment throughout the hospital and satellite clinics. You will evaluate, install, maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test MDE to ensure patient safety and continuous care.

Ideal candidates have a solid background in electronics, anatomy, and medical terminology, with military BMET training or an engineering degree. Training and certifications may be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electronic circuitry and operation of medical devices.
• Repair of electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical and mechanical MDE with troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams of biomedical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, install, maintain, diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test MDE.
• Document investigations of hazards, recalls, updates, and incidents.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and comply with standards and regulations.
