Job summary

Washington Regional Medical System in Fayetteville, AR seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to provide basic medical equipment services under the supervision of the Biomedical Manager. The role involves corrective, preventive, and incoming inspection activities for low- and high-impact devices.

The position requires an associate degree or higher in a technical/electronics field, CABT preferred, valid driver’s license, and at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical/electronics field or equivalent training is required.
• CABT preferred designation and valid driver’s license with auto liability insurance are required.
• Experience with medical equipment in Biomed or equivalent is preferred; CMMS and testing equipment experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective maintenance on low-impact medical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on low-impact medical equipment.
• Perform incoming inspections on low-impact equipment.
• Perform CM/PM/II on high-impact equipment under supervision.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians.
• Maintain accurate work orders and asset inventory.
• Discuss equipment status with clinicians and leadership.
• Expand technical expertise through ongoing training and mentoring.
