Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to maintain, test and calibrate clinical devices across the network.

You will inspect, install and perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer protocols, supporting clinical staff with technical guidance. The role requires an associate or bachelor's in biomedical engineering or related field, plus at least six months’ hands-on experience and a valid driver’s license to travel to multiple

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum six months of experience in repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various Network locations.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance, electrical safety and functional testing on medical equipment per protocols.
• Repairs defective equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Oversees vendor activities as needed and provides technical consultation to staff.
• Maintains accurate records of all work and completes paperwork timely.
• Participates in in-service education and pre-purchase evaluations as required.
