Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Allentown, PA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I for first shift. You will repair, calibrate and test clinical equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure devices meet manufacturer specs across the network.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Six months of experience in repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge; understanding of electronics, safety and test equipment.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology as it relates to clinical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs scheduled maintenance, electrical safety and functional testing on clinical equipment according to protocols.
• Repairs defective medical equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.
• Oversees vendor activities when required.
• Maintains accurate service records and completes paperwork in a timely manner.
• Provides technical consultation and support to clinical staff and other departments.
