Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology.
• Biomedical Engineering certification program.
• Equivalent military training in Biomedical Engineering.
• 250 hours biomedical engineering experience or verifiable OEM/Field Service experience.
• Working knowledge of general biomedical electronics, equipment, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of basic test equipment for calibration, verification, troubleshooting, and repair of medical devices.
• Awareness of local and federal regulations pertaining to medical devices and systems.
• Possess a current, valid Driver's License for the State of Ohio.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Solid technical acumen.
• Ability to think and work independently, and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under stressful and/or difficult circumstances.
• Ability to work an on-call rotational schedule, including weekends and non-standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to medical equipment and related systems across departments.
• Identifies and reduces operator errors, equipment failures, downtime and costs.
• Performs service activities in a moderately stressful environment with tight timelines.
