Qualifications
- AA/AS in Biomedical Instrumentation or Electronics or equivalent experience
- 8 years of biomedical equipment maintenance experience, incl. 3 years in hospital setting
- ABM/MAB/CPI certification required within 90 days of hire (annual)
- Ability to perform maintenance/repairs on medical equipment
- Capable of working unsupervised and taking ownership of tasks and projects
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, overhead lifting, and stand/walk/sit for set periods
- Strong spoken and written English proficiency
- Physical requirements include heavy lifting and perceptive acuity for patient care functions
Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance and repairs on life support and general medical equipment
- Controls maintenance costs and ensures safety for patients and staff
