Job summary

TriMedx, LLC is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Intern to gain hands-on training by shadowing clinical, biomedical, lab and radiology engineers in a hospital setting. You will respond to service calls, balance workload, document repairs and PMs, and learn calibration and troubleshooting techniques while working under management supervision.

The role focuses on preventative maintenance procedures, equipment calibration, and gaining real-time service experience with experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled in an associate’s, technical degree program or TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification program.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain on the job training by shadowing experienced clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, lab engineers, and radiology engineers under supervision.
• Understand the typical day of an engineer and how to work in a hospital environment; respond to service calls and balance workload.
• Document repairs and PMs; vendor management; calibrate equipment; troubleshoot equipment; perform preventive maintenance procedures.
