Job description

Biomedical Engineer creates healthcare technologies and medical equipment by bridging medicine and engineering to improve patient care.

Job Responsibilities
  • Medical Device Design and Development
    • Design and develop medical devices such as pacemakers, prosthetics, imaging systems, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Create prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to ensure safety, reliability, and effectiveness.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA, MHRA, CE Mark, and other standards.
  • Biomedical Research and Innovation
    • Conduct research to understand biological systems and develop new technologies.
    • Collaborate with clinicians to identify needs and validate solutions in real‑world settings.
    • Publish findings and present at conferences to advance the field.
  • Healthcare Technology Implementation
    • Integrate new technologies into hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings.
    • Install, calibrate, and train staff on new equipment.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot devices to keep systems operational.
    • Improve processes by automating laboratory tasks and optimizing patient monitoring.
  • Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering
    • Design biocompatible materials for medical devices and implants.
    • Develop artificial tissues or organs for implantation.
  • Software Development in Healthcare
    • Develop medical software for imaging, diagnostics, and patient monitoring.
    • Create AI and data‑analysis tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and personalize care.
