Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Tech II for the Wesley Chapel Hospital campus. The role focuses on repair, calibration and preventive maintenance of medical treatment and diagnostic equipment to ensure reliable operation in a healthcare setting.

Shift 7:00am - 3:30pm, full-time, on-site with occasional weekend work and on-call duties. Requires 2 years in biomedical maintenance or electronics, or 6 years related experience; technical electronics/biomedical education

Qualifications

• 2 years Biomedical Maintenance experience, or 2 years Electronics, or 6 years related experience in lieu of formal training.
• Preferred Associates or Bachelors in related field.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibration and maintenance of medical treatment and diagnostic equipment to ensure properly functioning equipment.
• Perform these tasks alone or with minimum supervision, in a manner aligned with BayCare values.

Biomedical Engineering Tech II Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing repair, calibration and maintenance services to medical treatment and diagnostic equipment and to provide BayCare with properly functioning equipment necessary to complete its charge of being a healthcare provider.
• Perform these tasks alone or with minimum supervision, in a manner which is consistent with the values and mission of BayCare Health System.

Experience

• 2 years Biomedical Maintenance; Or
• 2 years Electronics; Or
• 6 years related experience in lieu of Technical Training/Program

Education

• Technical Electronics; Or
• Technical Biomedical;
• Preferred Associates or Bachelors related field
