Job summary

You will work under supervision and mentorship, translating user needs into feasible designs, coordinating prototype production, and contributing to design verification and validation efforts for market release products.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. degree from an ABET-accredited school in engineering.
• Disciplines include Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Stay current with arthroplasty product use, procedures and standards.
• Identify user needs through engagement with product users (Orthopedic Surgeons).
• Translate user needs into design inputs satisfying market and regulatory requirements.
• Create product designs and document design rationale for all features.
• Prepare invention disclosures and patent-related documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to produce prototypes and conduct design verification and validation.
• Create production specifications considering manufacturability and inspection.]
• Identify and document critical-to-quality features and inspection plans.
• Verify and validate designs to reduce user risk per procedures and regulations.
• Support design transfer tasks to production for market releases.
