Job summary

The Laboratory at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Technician to support NIH-funded research in artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational pathology, and precision oncology.

The role involves curating large datasets, preprocessing data, and assisting with analyses of multimodal biomedical data, collaborating with faculty, postdocs, clinicians, and students to advance biomedical AI research.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with four years of experience in a research or laboratory setting or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of scientific principles applicable to biomedical research.
• Strong computer skills and data handling abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to present at meetings.
• Experience with preparing grant proposals and scientific manuscripts.

Responsibilities

• Curating, organizing, and managing large-scale clinical, imaging, pathology, and multimodal datasets.
• Performing data preprocessing, quality control, annotation, and documentation.
• Supporting computational analyses of CT, MRI, PET/CT, whole-slide pathology images, and multimodal data.
• Maintaining research databases, documentation, and data management pipelines.
• Preparing figures, tables, and supplementary materials for manuscripts and grants.
• Coordinating research activities with students, clinicians, and collaborators.
• Assisting with literature reviews and general laboratory operations.
• Participating in meetings, journal clubs, and research presentations.
