Job summary

Saint Luke's is seeking a Biomedical Electronic Technician to perform performance assurance inspections, install, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair medical instrumentation across multiple categories.

You will schedule preventive maintenance, perform safety inspections, mentor junior technicians, and provide in-service education to staff. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Maintains and calibrates biomedical instrumentation to manufacturers specs.
• Provides in-service education to staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Mentors and trains level one and two Biomedical Electronic Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and calibrates equipment to meet manufacturers' specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify problems, options, and implement effective solutions.

Performs performance assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of medical instrumentation and systems of or more categories of Biomedical instrumentation.

• Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment to bring them up to the original manufacturers specifications.
• Conducts analyses to identify symptoms, definition of problems, option comparisons, appropriate solutions, implementation, and evaluation of results.
• Provides in-service education to staff on equipment operation and safety.
• Responsible for providing mentoring and training to level one and two Biomedical Electronic Technicians.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
