Job summary

The University of Nebraska at Omaha seeks a Laboratory Technician- Biomechanics to support human movement research in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. The role focuses on coordinating studies, data collection, and regulatory compliance to enable funded projects.

Qualifications

  • MS in engineering, science, or related field (required).
  • Prior experience in collecting biomechanics data (preferred).
  • Ability to be credentialed with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (required).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize all aspects of funded research projects including compliance approval, scheduling, communication and follow-up.
  • Collect biomechanics data according to study protocols and oversee data processing and storage.
  • Train and supervise students and staff in data processing and equipment operation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and manage supplies.
