A leading IT staffing company in Groton, Connecticut is seeking a Lead Biomarker Scientist to assist in developing and optimizing biomarker assays, perform flow cytometry operations, and ensure quality control of laboratory instruments. The ideal candidate should have an MS in a relevant field or a BS with experience, as well as familiarity with laboratory management systems and analytical documentation. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are also required for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of either MS in Biology/BioChemistry/Medical Technology plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• BS in Biology/BioChemistry/Medical Technology or 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Biomarker Scientist to develop and optimize biomarker assays.
• Perform flow cytometry operation, including sample preparation and analysis.
• Perform quality control checks on laboratory instruments.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments according to SOPs.
• Maintain quality control and calibration logs.
• Analyze and document experimental results.
• Perform data entry using LIMS.
• Write experimental SOPs.
