The TA will answer student questions, help distribute supplies, troubleshoot basic computer issues, and assist in lab clean-up. Requires course completion and professor approval; start date 08/25/2026 and end date 05/10/2027; pay $10.80/hour.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the biology course(s) you intend to TA.
• Must seek approval and obtain recommendation by the professor for the course(s) you intend to TA.
• Must be dependable and show up on-time.

Responsibilities

• Assist the instructor in classroom instruction and organizing the delivery of instructional materials for lab sessions.
• Answer questions from students related to lab experiments.
• Help distribute lab supplies to the class.
• Possess operational knowledge of computers and procedures for restarting, shutting down, and basic troubleshooting technical issues.
• Be enthusiastic and willing to assist other students.
• Assist in the clean-up of used lab materials and equipment at the end of lab.
• Lab sections available: BIO-102, BIO-131, BIO-171, BIO-172, BIO-280, BIO-303, BIO-460L.
