Job summary

PrepMatters in Bethesda, MD is seeking tutors for a paid training class leading to a full tutoring role. You will deliver high-quality one-on-one tutoring in STEM subjects, develop customized plans, and communicate progress to families.

Eligible candidates have a Bachelor’s degree (advanced biology a plus) and at least two years of tutoring experience. Availability includes some weekends; hours are flexible with a focus on building student confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed; biology advanced degree a plus.
• At least two years of tutoring experience in one or more subjects.
• Enjoy working with kids and effectively manage scheduling and emails.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one tutoring and deliver high-quality tutoring.
• Develop personalized education plans for each student.
• Master PrepMatters instructional methods and tailor materials to student needs.
• Build student confidence and improve study skills.
• Communicate progress to families and document notes in CRM.
• Proactively schedule parent-student conferences as needed.
