Job summary

The Biological Sciences Collegiate Division at the University of Chicago is seeking three open-rank Instructional Professor positions. These are full-time teaching roles starting September 1, 2026, with appointments at Assistant, Associate, or Full rank based on experience.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biology or a related field completed before start date.
  • At least one year of teaching university-level lecture and/or laboratory courses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses, some for majors and some for non-majors.
  • Deliver courses with lecture and/or lab components, possibly in partnership with faculty.
  • Hire, train, and supervise teaching assistants.
  • Engage in regular professional development.
