Job summary

WuXi Biologics in Cranbury, NJ seeks a Scientist II to join Drug Product Development, focusing on formulation development, process development and tech transfer. The role involves study design, execution, and collaboration across manufacturing, analytical sciences and QA to meet client project deliverables.

The candidate will develop analytical methods, support manufacturing scale-up, and author technical documents for regulatory filings while coordinating with global teams and ensuring quality

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Chemistry.
• Knowledge in formulation development, high concentration protein formulation, matching placebo development, and drug product process development.
• Strong communications skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented; ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to work some evenings to accommodate global teams.
• Experience in parenteral biologics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand drug product manufacturing processes and scaling up.
• Understand liquid formulation development and fill/finish process scale up.
• Develop formulation for biologics to support stability and design study reports.
• Develop analytical methods focusing on separation assays and biophysical characterization.
• Support process transfer and manufacturing with deviation investigations.
• Author SOPs, protocols and study reports for regulatory filing.
• Interface across matrixed teams to support investigations and technology assessments.
• Communicate research findings to WuXi Biologics and clients.
