• Conduct routine and non-routine biological analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Perform visual inspections of biological samples and finished products for contamination or abnormalities.
• Receive and inspect biological raw materials (e.g., cell lines, reagents, growth media).
• Interpret biological test results, compare them to specifications, and advise on data release.
• Investigate or report questionable biological test results.
• Compile biological test data and perform trend analyses.
• Develop and qualify new microbiological testing methods (e.g., endotoxin testing).
• Perform validations or transfers of biological methods per guidelines.
• Prepare or review method transfer documentation for biological assays.
• Evaluate methods for potential improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies (PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry) for implementation.
• Monitor testing procedures to ensure compliance with specs.
