Job summary

Harba in Carmel, Indiana, is seeking a manufacturing specialist to perform upstream and downstream cell culture work in a GMP environment. The role involves aseptic processing, documentation, and hands-on laboratory procedures related to viral vector production and characterization.

Ideal candidates will have 1–4 years in GMP manufacturing, hands-on cell culture experience, and familiarity with bioreactor processes. Cleanroom experience is highly valued for this position.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in a GMP manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
• Hands-on cell culture experience is preferred.
• Experience working with adherent or suspension cell culture systems is a plus.
• Experience with bioreactors, cell harvest, or scale-up activities is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a Class 7/Grade C or higher cleanroom environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform upstream processing activities such as cell thawing, cell expansion, passaging, and bioreactor inoculation and harvest.
• Support downstream processing including clarification, filtration, chromatography, TFF, sterile filtration, and fill/finish operations.
• Perform hands-on laboratory procedures associated with viral vector production and characterization.
• Work within cleanroom environments while following aseptic processing and gowning requirements.
• Prepare solutions, media, and other materials needed for manufacturing activities.
• Follow approved SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing procedures throughout production.
• Accurately document manufacturing activities in accordance with GMP/GDP requirements.
• Assist with SOP development, process documentation, batch records, and client-specific procedures.
• Support equipment maintenance and general laboratory operations.
• Perform routine area sanitization and waste handling according to established procedures..
