Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in bioinformatics or a closely related field or equivalent research experience.
• Hands-on experience analyzing sequencing and omics data from raw reads to interpretation.
• Experience with one or more listed tools and standard Python/R bioinformatics workflows.
• Able to write and run Jupyter notebooks that reproduce work exactly.
• Clear, precise scientific writing and documentation.
• Access to unpublished or private datasets is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete realistic, multi-step data-analysis tasks in bioinformatics.
• Write original bioinformatics questions with exact, objective answers.
• Select and anonymize data from public archives or private sources for analysis.
• Use scientific software and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses.
• Develop a Jupyter validation notebook in Python or R.
• Interpret results and communicate assumptions, uncertainty, and conclusions.
