Job summary

Vanguard Renewables, based in Weston, MA, seeks a Biogas Operator to manage and monitor anaerobic digestion equipment at an on-site facility. You will ensure safety, support maintenance activities, read drawings, and assist with procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring gas production, recording data, and coordinating with contractors. The role requires on-call availability and experience in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Maintenance and operating experience in an industrial or gas processing environment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• On-call hours may be required.
• Experience with safety procedures and a strong safety mindset.
• Able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety programs and oversees contractors for safe work.
• Isolates equipment following Lock-out Tag-Out procedures.
• Monitor gas production and record plant operating parameters.
• Troubleshoot initially and escalate to technicians when needed.
• Assist in writing SOPs and energy isolation procedures.
• Write work orders to track repairs and maintenance.
