Job summary

SD OpCO LLC in Lakeside, SD, seeks a Biogas Plant Operator to operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the biogas facility. The role requires technical oversight of plant operations and adherence to state regulations.

You will perform daily checks, testing, maintenance, and emergency responses while using CMMS to track work orders. This is a safety-sensitive, on-site position in an industrial setting with outdoor work.”

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/gas processing maintenance preferred.
• Proficient with Windows-based applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot facility systems.
• Conduct daily checks, walkthroughs, and facility monitoring.
• Perform sampling, testing, and analysis to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Install, maintain, and repair plant and pump station components.
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and breakdowns on-site and at pump stations.
• Conduct weekend checks of the treatment plant on a rotating basis.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety regulations.
• Maintain open communication with the Supervisor regarding plant operations and malfunctions.
• Actively participate in the plant safety program.
• Utilize CMMS software to track work orders and maintenance requests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
