Job summary

POET is seeking a Biofuels Scheduler to optimize shipments and collaborate with marketing, planning, operations, and accounting teams. You will build relationships with carriers, manage inventories across sites, and ensure timely deliveries across the region.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, communication, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions, with on-site work in Wichita, KS. Training and tools are provided to support success.

• Negotiate competitive truck rates with all our truck carriers.
• Ensure accuracy of transaction details with our systems.
• Collaborate across multiple business teams within the office and at production sites.
• Problem-solve as situations arise with transportation providers, customers, and production sites.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Biofuels Scheduler , you will work with the full team including marketing, planning, operations, and accounting. Our goal is to optimize our shipments to create the most value for POET and our customers. Sound intimidating? Don't worry. This is an on-site role located in Wichita, KS

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

1. Bachelor's degree in related field is required. An Associate's degree/high school diploma may be considered.
2. 2+ years of related experience.
3. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change.
4. You communicate effectively in writing and in person.
5. You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite. You're capable of learning new programs.
6. Up to 5% travel, to visit the bioprocessing facilities, carriers, and customers. At times overnight travel may be required.
