Job summary

European Spallation Source (ESS) seeks a Biodeuteration Scientist to advance biological production of deuterated biomolecules and support our neutron user program. You will develop biodeuteration methods, assist with purification and analysis, and coordinate projects with international colleagues.

Qualifications

• In-depth PhD required in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or biotechnology.
• Ha proven track record in expressing biological molecules in microbial hosts.
• Experience with purification methods and analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide biodeuteration services including production, purification and characterization of biologically deuterated molecules.
• Coordinate planning, feasibility reviews and scheduling for biodeuteration support.
• Maintain and operate biodeuteration facilities in collaboration with Lund Protein Production Facility.
• Supervise visitors and hosted researchers working on biodeuteration projects.
• Collaborate with international labs to enhance biodeuteration capabilities.
