AlzForum is seeking a biocuration scientist to oversee ongoing curation of scientific databases and directories on the AlzForum platform. The role involves extracting data from literature, creating clear summaries, and collaborating with editors to maintain accuracy and consistency across the site.
Qualifications include a doctoral degree in biological or medical sciences (neuroscience preferred), bench research experience, and strong scientific writing, communication, and organizational skills.
This position is fully remote; preference for residents of WI, MI, MT, CA, and MA
The biocuration scientist is responsible for the ongoing curation of scientific databases and directories in the AlzForum website (www.alzforum.org). AlzForum provides a high-quality scientific resource and online community to advance Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative disease research. The information stored in these databases includes data on research models, therapeutics, genetic studies, and other aspects of research on AD and related disorders. The biocuration scientist works with the database and the editorial teams to ensure that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and consistent across all parts of the website. Job level commensurate with relevant experience.
