Job summary

University of North Florida seeks two 9-month, tenure-earning Assistant Professors of Biochemistry to advance undergraduate teaching and research. The roles require building a robust biochemistry research program with undergraduates and master’s students, while teaching Biochemistry I and II and lower- and upper-level courses.

Faculty will mentor students and participate in governance and service across the department and university.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Excellence in research demonstrated by a strong publication record and future proposal plans.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate research and teaching.

Responsibilities

• Establish a biochemistry research program involving undergraduates and/or masters students.
• Teach Biochemistry I and II and related lower- and upper-level courses.
• Mentor students and participate in departmental governance, service, and committee work.
