Qualifications

• Master's degree with coursework in field or Bachelor's with coursework, or completion of 2 years of college in related field, or high school diploma equivalent.
• 1 year of research experience at Research Technician level or 4 years total with two years at Research Technician level or 6 years with high school diploma in related field.

Responsibilities

• Performs scientific and medical research work in biology, chemistry, physics, or related field.
• Constructs, assembles, and operates laboratory equipment and apparatus.
• Records and evaluates data for scientific papers and reports.
• Collaborates with supervisor and others on papers for publication.
• Reads literature and consults supervisor on procedures.
• Collects and organizes data for project reports.
• May supervise lower-grade lab staff as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
