UC Merced seeks innovators addressing fundamental biochemical questions across enzymology, structural biology, metabolism, chemical biology, and biomolecular interactions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• A record of research accomplishments and/or strong potential for research excellence, appropriate to rank.
• Postdoctoral training (for early-career candidates).
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to inclusive pedagogy and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a robust, externally funded research program.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry and related fields.
• Mentor students at all levels and contribute to a diverse, inclusive academic environment.
