Responsibilities

• Establishes research objectives and designs procedures requiring high technical skill.
• Conducts research projects and analyzes data; interprets results.
• Communicates project results to the principal investigator.
• Supervises and guides research staff and oversees task execution.
• May submit training grants as PI with a faculty mentor.
• May publish and present research as author or co-author.
• Mentors classified staff and postdoctoral fellows as needed.
• Designs and maintains equipment used in experiments to obtain results.
• Reviews scientific literature and supports facility/core enhancements.
