Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and be engaged in innovative research within biochemistry, molecular biology, or at the interface between chemistry and biology. The Department is strongly research-oriented with major programs in discovery biology, metabolism, RNA biology, enzymology, carbohydrate biology, and drug discovery. We are particularly interested in strong candidates who will complement our existing strengths. UT Southwestern maintains state-of-the-art facilities and employs a faculty that includes four Nobel Laureates and sixteen members of the National Academy of Sciences.
