Job summary

The University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Tech C to support biospecimen processing and DNA isolations in the Penn Medicine BioBank. You will handle blood, tissue, and bodily fluids with stringent SOP, QC, and QA adherence.

Under supervision, you will inventory samples, monitor freezers, assist with shipping, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with clinical and research staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Responsibilities

• DNA isolation – manual and automated
• Blood aliquotting and processing derivatives
• Bodily fluid and tissue processing
• Facilitate all aspects of sample inventory and distribution
• Freezer monitoring and rotating on-call freezer response, general lab maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
