Eurofins Foster City, CA is seeking a Scientist to develop analytical methods for biologic products using plate-based assays and HPLC, and to acquire data for process development studies.

You will document experiments in electronic lab notebooks, troubleshoot instruments, and collaborate with senior scientists to advance state-of-the-art techniques in a fast-paced lab environment.

Formación

• BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience in a high throughput laboratory environment.
• Hands-on proficiency with plate based assays, HPLC, CE-SDS.
• Aseptic technique and multi-channel pipetting experience.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and multitasking.
• Familiarity with lab automation and data science is a plus.

Job Description

• Develop analytical methods for biologic products using plate based assays (potency and process related impurities) and HPLC (size exclusion, ion exchange, reversed phase, etc.
• Acquire and interpret data for molecule characterization and process development studies.
• Maintain good documentation practices for recording experimental plans and results in electronic lab notebook and associated reports.
• May support testing for mass spectrometry (LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ToF, etc.).
• Assist in troubleshooting of instrumentation and test methods.
• Able to work well independently and in a team setting on assigned tasks, such as method development and testing.
• Participate in group meetings, present results of work, interpret data, and draw conclusions regarding presented material and nature of work.
• Work in collaboration with more senior scientists to design experiments and advance state-of-the-art techniques.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience working in a high throughput laboratory environment
• Hands-on proficiency and problem-solving skills with plate based assays (softmax pro), HPLC, CE-SDS, etc.
• Must have experience with aseptic technique and muli-channel pipetting
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking
• Familiarity with lab automation, data science, knowledge management is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry experience with performing 96 well plate based assays
• Strong written and verbal communication with a strong attention to detail
• Able to take direction and then manage semi-routine tasks independently

Additional Information

• This position is full time, Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm, with overtime, as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Foster City, CA are encouraged to apply.

Pay Range: $55,000-$72,000/yr
