Job summary

Belcan seeks a Research Associate Support Resource in Northbrook, IL. This 12-month contractor role involves assisting the Analytical Development team with methods development and test samples using PCR, ELISA, and cell-based assays.

You will contribute to experimental design, record-keeping in ELN, and timely reporting. Start date is immediate; the position offers competitive pay and benefits. A strong team player with scientific writing skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS with 3+ years in pharma/biotech performing biologic assays.
• Experience with PCR, ELISA, and mammalian cell-based assays.
• Sterile technique for mammalian cell handling, maintenance and banking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize assays for proteins, DNA, AAV nanoparticles and related cell-based assays.
• Perform routine testing (PCR, ELISA, cell-based assays) per SOPs.
• Involve in assay transfer to other groups, QC, testing group and Research.
• Write, review, and edit experimental procedures and reports.
• Maintain accurate records in ELN and timely reports.
• Analyze data and present results in meetings; contribute to reports writing.
