Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, headquartered in Conyers, Georgia, is seeking an experienced VDC Specialist to translate design intent and 3D models into fabrication and installation details using BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks and Fabrication CADMEP.

You will collaborate with engineers, general contractors and subcontractors to achieve spatial coordination, produce LOD400 models for mechanical and plumbing systems, and create detailed shop drawings and fabrication documents while mentoring junior

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with installation or 3D modelling of mechanical or plumbing systems.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication CADMEP and Autodesk Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Produce LOD400 BIM for mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Coordinate spatially with General Contractor and subcontractors; attend weekly coordination meetings (onsite or virtual).
• Create detailed shop drawings for fabrication and installation, including hanger and sleeve drawings.
• Mentor and train Junior VDC Specialists.
• Communicate with field personnel to ensure fabrication and installation intent is clear on drawings.
