Job summary

Barry-Wehmilller is seeking a BIM/VDC Specialist to join our Design Group in the US. You will develop BIM strategies, manage models, and lead coordination with engineering teams to deliver high-quality projects from concept through production release.

The role requires 4+ years in BIM coordination and strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, and Autodesk Construction Cloud, plus experience with point clouds. On-site position in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of experience leading BIM coordination for multi-discipline design projects.
• Familiarity with the manufacturing, food & beverage, and Life Science sectors.
• Proficiency with Autodesk BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Strong experience with point cloud data and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop BIM Execution Plans and manage all project phases from concept to production release.
• Act as the lead BIM coordinator for regional projects.
• Serve as the Autodesk Construction Cloud admin for assigned projects.
• Maintain federated BIM models and lead design coordination calls.
• Manage model health and assist with QA/QC.
• Support engineers with production, software, and standardization issues.

In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

• Develop BIM Execution Plans; manage all project phases from concept to production release


• Act as the lead BIM coordinator for various regional projects


• Act as the Autodesk Construction Cloud admin for assigned projects


• Maintain federated BIM models


• Lead coordination calls with the design team


• Manage model health and assist with quality assurance


• Assists engineers in the troubleshooting of production, software, and standardization issues


• Perform maintenance of CAD files in response to engineering changes


• Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of 4 years of experience leading BIM coordination for multi-discipline design projects


• Familiarity with the manufacturing and food and beverage, and Life Science market sectors


• A high level of proficiency with Autodesk BIM tools including Revit, Navisworks, ReCap, and Forma/Autodesk Construction Cloud


• A strong background in working with point cloud data


• Familiarity with BIM tools such as CTC Tools, RF Tools, Content Catalog, Shared Parameters, & PyRevit


• A solid understanding of all involved project disciplines including construction and administration


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, verbal and written


• Experience in facilitating meetings and training events


• An associate’s degree in engineering, computer-aided drafting, or a related field


• An bachelor of science in engineering (preferred)


• An Autodesk/BIM Certification (preferred)
