Job summary

McKim & Creed is seeking a BIM Specialist in Charlotte, NC to manage BIM standards and protocols for the Building, Energy and Infrastructure group. You will oversee 2D/3D modeling SOPs and support institutional, commercial, municipal, and industrial facilities.

OVERVIEW: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group as a BIM Specialist in our Charlotte, NC office. In this role you will oversee the BIM standards and protocols for the entire BEI team. Including developing and implementing standard operating procedures for 2D and 3D modeling to support work for institutional, commercial, municipal and industrial facilities.

DURING YOUR WORK-DAY YOU WILL:

• Provide technical support for drafting standards
• Responsibilities include: ability to interact and work directly with clients and team members, model set up, staff training on standards, and drawing QA/QC.
• Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience in BIM design or related fields.
• Experience with drafting and analysis software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
• Requires avalid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
