Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is seeking a Coordinator for the Florida Inventory of School Houses (FISH) to use BIM Revit or AutoCAD for drawings and spatial analysis. The role involves organizing FISH data, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring adherence to BCPS standards and Florida regulations.

Qualifications include an associate degree in a related field and five years' experience with BIM Revit or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• An earned associate degree in architecture, facilities management, facilities planning & management, or other related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five (5) years, within the last eight (8) years of experience using BIM Revit or AutoCAD software.
• Knowledge of the FISH database, or similar database.
• Computer skills are required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the CAD/Drafting staff and other personnel as assigned.
• Coordinate and supervise the generation and provision of FISH related drawings using BIM Revit or AutoCAD.
• Determine FISH data from construction documents for new construction, renovations and additions.
• Assign FISH numbers to BCPS buildings and rooms.
• Report accurate FISH data of BCPS facilities to the State of Florida and maintain records.
• Survey all existing facilities to keep BCPS FISH data current.
• Verify, prepare, and update building floor plans and site plans for consistency with BIM/AutoCAD standards.
• Manage and supervise field inspections of facilities and on-site conditions for BIM accuracy.
• Conduct and supervise on-site surveys to keep BCPS facilities plans up to date.
• Assist principals with the coordination and installation of FISH numbers.
• Serve as BCPS FISH liaison with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).
• Act as clearinghouse for BIM/AutoCAD FISH drawings requests for BCPS facilities.
• Prepare reports based on FISH data for BCPS departments.
