Responsibilities

• Oversee BIM execution plans and ensure client requirements are met.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and field teams to integrate BIM into workflows.
• Manage software licenses and ensure proper BIM tool utilization.
• Coordinate clash detection and model reviews to resolve design conflicts.
• Drive innovation in digital construction technologies and workflows.
• Prepare BIM progress reports for senior leadership and clients.
• Ensure data integrity and security within BIM models and docs.
• Support preconstruction and estimating with model-based quantity takeoffs.

Job Summary

The BIM/VDC Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across all BCH projects. This role ensures accurate, constructible, and fully coordinated mechanical models that support estimating, project management, fabrication, and field installation. This position plays a key role in driving workflows, ensuring model quality, and facilitating communication between engineering, field teams, and project leadership.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain company-wide BIM and CAD standards, protocols, and best practices.
• Lead and manage the CAD/BIM team, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee BIM execution plans for projects and ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to integrate BIM into project workflows.
• Manage software licenses, update, and ensure proper utilization of BIM tools.
• Coordinate clash detection and model reviews to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Drive innovation in digital construction technologies and workflows.
• Prepare and present BIM progress reports to senior leadership and clients.
• Ensure data integrity and security within BIM models and associated documentation.
• Support preconstruction and estimating teams with accurate model-based quantity takeoffs.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Expert knowledge of BIM software platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and coordination.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in BIM/CAD management, with leadership experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
• Occasional travel to job sites and company offices.
