Job summary

PRIME is seeking a BIM Lead for commercial construction projects to create and manage the BIM plan, oversee staff, scope, budget, and coordination efforts. You will ensure compliance with the owner’s BIM guidelines and lead outsourcing decisions for BIM التنفيذ.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate and comment on BIM Execution Plans from Design and Construction BIM Teams.
• Oversee Design and Construction Teams to meet owner BIM Guidelines requirements.
• Interface between project stakeholders to ensure model content meets owner data requirements.
• Lead outsourcing decisions, select qualified BIM subcontractors, and monitor performance.
• Establish an effective communication plan to project stakeholders.
• Create and maintain internal BIM Execution Plan for all projects.
• Facilitate BIM project kick-off meetings (internal and external).
• Troubleshoot model health and BIM-related issues.
• Track coordination issues and inform stakeholders of impacts to BIM/Construction schedule.
• Collaborate with field and prefab teams on model-based prefabrication plans.
• Provide quality control for shop drawings and project documentation.
• Oversee project documents (submittals, drawings, schedules).
• Maintain clash-free constructible model and deliver final as-built model.
• Train and develop team members and form project-specific work teams.
• Manage software for BIM implementation and stay updated on best practices for Revit, eVolve, Navisworks, Forma.

Position Summary

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for creating and facilitating the BIM plan for all assigned projects as well as managing the staff, scope, budget and BIM coordination effort for various types of commercial construction projects.

• Review, evaluate, and comment on the BIM Execution Plans provided by both the Design and the Construction BIM Teams.
• Provide oversight of the project Design and Construction Teams to ensure that the requirements of the client’s BIM Guidelines are properly and adequately addressed.
• Interface between the various project stakeholders to ensure that the model content conforms to the owner’s data requirements.
• Lead and oversee subcontractor outsourcing decisions; collaborate closely with leadership to evaluate the need for outsourcing, participate in the selection of qualified BIM subcontractors, and maintain oversight of subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project requirements, quality standards, and company objectives.
• Establish an effective communication plan to all project stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining the internalBIMexecution plan for all assigned project(s).
• Facilitate internal and external BIM project kick-off meetings.
• Attend to technical issues related to model health and general troubleshooting.
• Track project related coordination issues and communicate with project stakeholders any impacts to the BIM/Construction schedule.
• Work with the field and prefab teams to create plans for the implementation of model-based prefabrication.
• Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings.
• Provide oversight and facilitate the maintenance of the project documents and information (i.e. Submittals, Contract Drawings, Schedules, etc.).
• Provide oversight of a clash free constructible model for a successful installation.
• Provide oversight in the development of the final as-built model to be delivered to the owner at the end of the project.
• Train and develop team members and create project-specific work teams.
• Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM.
• Stay informed on the best practices for use of Revit, eVolve, Navisworks, and Forma.
• Adhere to the PRIME Safety Program, complying with safety regulations, procedures and safe work practices.
• Maintain a physical presence onsite and provide assistance to specific groups, managers and project management teams as needed.
• Performs other duties as requested; duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

• Two to three years’ experience as a Trade Coordinator.
• Two to three years’ experience as a Project Manager or Superintendent is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical system installation, design, and code compliance.
• Ability to implement innovative BIMtools and practices on large projects in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.
• Demonstrates leadership abilities in dealing with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, Executives and peers.
• Advanced Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Forma and other BIM (3D/ 4D/5D) related software.
• Knowledge and skill in developing/authoring/ reviewing BIMExecution Plans for large, complex Projects.
• Understanding and experience using BimForum LOD Specification and AIA Model Element Table.
