Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a BIM coordination professional in Austin, TX to set up project sites for BIM data and lead detailed fabrication models for electrical work.

You will support 3D trade coordination, 4D sequencing, and field integration with BIM-enabled workflows, mentoring team members and advancing model-based design across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or similar field.
• Minimum 5+ years of electrical field experience and construction technologies hands-on experience in the AEC industry.
• Previous detailing experience for prefabricated modular or volumetric solutions.
• Strong technical skills; intermediate to advanced Autodesk software knowledge (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).
• Knowledge of fundamental Building Information Modeling concepts.
• Knowledge of implementation and support of Autodesk BIM 360 Build products.

• Configure and set up project site(s) to host BIM data adhering to EIG’s current best practices
• Create and/or coordinate the development of detailed fabrication models for planning, design, coordination and prefab of electrical work
• Support project setup for 3D trade coordination, site logistical planning, and 4D sequencing efforts
• Participate and provide technical support for the project team in model‑based design coordination meetings
• Support setup of BIM to field equipment and/or software
• Provide support for VDC based laser scanning, drone operations, RTS, etc.
• Train, educate, and mentor project personnel in various BIM software and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or similar field
