Job summary

Bosch USA in Lincolnton, NC is seeking a skilled technician to manage technical operations of Bi‑Metal milling and side setting areas for Power Tool Accessories. You will ensure safety, quality, and daily production tasks while supporting process improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with equipment setups, programming, and reading technical drawings. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers and maintenance, contributing to a positive, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience.
• Able to read technical drawings and documentation.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Experience with CNC milling or similar CNC processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand all safety procedures and ensure compliance within the area.
• Ensure quality standards are maintained and understand containment procedures for parts that are OOS.
• Lead activities in the area and assist in meeting daily quality & production goals.
• Complete setups of equipment in accordance with production needs.
• Assist in organizing MAE tooling and ensure availability of components for production use – i.e. clamps, cutting heads, rollers, etc.
• Understand equipment software and programming, as required.
• Ensure compliance to procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization within the area (5S).
• Understand FIFO concept and help organize material flow in and out the area.
• Read and understand all work instructions, operating procedures and documentation pertaining to milling and side setting.
• Assist in troubleshooting root cause for issues within the area.
• Assist in the training of operators on applicable procedures.
• Help achieve all other production, quality and safety related goals

Job Description

This position will be responsible for technical operations of the Bi‑Metal milling and side setting areas for Power Tool Accessories. This function will directly be involved with safety, quality, and daily production tasks, in addition to providing advanced technical support as needed. The technical operations will include equipment setups for the area, tooling breakdowns, providing input and support for process improvements, and troubleshooting support. This role will also work closely with the manufacturing engineer and maintenance team as needed. A detailed understanding of the mechanics and machine components will be required, along with the ability to learn equipment software and programming. Maintaining a positive work environment and following appropriate safety procedures is mandatory.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing
• Previous experience in machine software navigation
• Ability to stand and be mobile for 8hrs
• Proper Hand dexterity
• Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, instructions and documentation
• General computer knowledge and software navigation ability
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to lift (up to) 40lbs
• Previous experience with equipment/tooling setups is preferred
• Experience in CNC milling (or similar CNC process) is preferred
