Quality Labor Management (QLM) in Phoenix, AZ seeks a VDC/BIM Detailer with 3–5 years of mechanical construction field experience to support HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.

You will model, coordinate, and produce dimensioned construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD, review BIM standards, and participate in coordination meetings. Proficiency with Navisworks, Bluebeam, and fabrication workflows is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of 3D AutoCAD experience in a mechanical construction context.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Fabrication and Navisworks Manage/clash detection.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam Studio and documentation workflows.
• Experience with Revit is a plus, basic knowledge acceptable.
• Strong MS Office and web meeting tools.

Responsibilities

• Model, coordinate and produce dimensioned construction documents for one or more disciplines using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or authoring software.
• Set up trade models for direct views and 3D presentations for NWC export.
• Provide BIM quality assurance by reviewing standards, execution plans, and drawings.
• Participate in VDC coordination meetings and clash detection coordination.
• Coordinate electronic files and information exchange across platforms.
• Communicate with VDC and Operations teams to resolve issues.
• Assist in updating models and drawings from field conditions.
• Produce shop drawings, isometrics, and fabrication drawings.
• Able to log in to web-based coordination meetings and follow BIM standards.

We have a position available for VDC/BIM Detailer

The VDC detailer is responsible for assisting in supporting all VDC projects and departments. This includes but is not limited to trade modeling and assisting wherever is needed.

Pay Range

$32-$39 per hour

Responsibilities

• Model, coordinate and produce dimensioned construction documents for one or more disciplines using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or authoring software.
• Set up various trade models necessary to build working views, sheet views, presentation views, and 3D views for NWC export using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or other authoring software.
• Provide VDC/BIM quality assurance by reviewing project BIM standards, execution plans, and design drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in project VDC coordination meetings: spatial coordination of disciplines, gatherings all disciplines BIM models including civil and performing coordination task in Navisworks, BIM360 Glue, and/or other coordination software.
• Coordinate electronic files and information exchange through various online platforms.
• Coordinate and communicate with VDC and Operations teams to resolve issues and request information from design teams
• Assist VDC and operations teams in reviewing and resolving field issues during construction and updating the model and drawings accordingly.
• Ability to work with construction documents, specifications, and detailed drawings and develop a constructible BIM model to meet design intent and code requirements.
• Ability to log in and participate in a web-based coordination meeting.
• Able to follow BIM standards and assure all required information is provided in BIM model.
• Produce construction shop drawings to support project fabrication and installation activities (Isometric, Orthographic, and sketches)
• Able to identify designs changes and impacts and notify BIM coordinator.
• Able to maintain file management per BIM standards for all electronic and hard copy BIM documents.
• Support Isometric extraction and model QA as required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of 3D AutoCAD
• Proficient in Autodesk fabrication or equivalent (at least 1-2 years of experience)
• Autodesk Navisworks Manage including development and management of internal and external clash detection.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and file management within Bluebeam Studio.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Proficient in web hosting meetings
• Basic knowledge of website browsers
• Basic knowledge of Revit
• 3-5 years field construction experience required

Seeking a VDC/BIM Detailer with 3-5 years of mechanical construction field experience and a strong understanding of commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. Must have experience with 3D AutoCAD, Autodesk Fabrication, Navisworks Manage/clash detection, and producing shop drawings, isometrics, and fabrication drawings. Basic Revit knowledge and experience with Bluebeam, BIM coordination, and translating field conditions into constructible models are also desired.
