Job summary

Arcadis U.S.Inc. is seeking a BIM Manager to lead BIM strategy and execution across high-profile projects, guiding design and engineering teams from design through construction. You will ensure BIM quality, oversee staff, and drive automation and standardization in modelling processes.

A senior role with global standards alignment. The role requires extensive BIM experience, a compatible engineering background, and the ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team on large projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience required working with BIM environments and applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CAD, Information Management, IT or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in the integration and application of BIM in a multi-disciplinary environment managing a team of more than 5 BIM modellers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop BIM strategy and oversee BIM work on select projects, ensuring quality across projects.
  • Coordinate 3D, 4D and 5D model development and lifecycle, including integration with project controls.
  • Review progress and clash reports using BIM360 or ACC, and provide technical BIM leadership at project level.
  • Coach and guide project teams on BIM implementation and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with country BIM leads to align with global standards and best practices.
  • Assist with estimates for engineering budgets and schedule, and oversee technical resources.

Role description

As a BIM Manager you will support the Design & Engineering team during the development of high-profile projects from design to construction as applicable to the client's needs as part of our BIM Management Service offerings.

Role accountabilities
  • Responsible for developing BIM strategy, overseeing all BIM work on select projects and responsible for BIM quality on all projects, while working closely with BIM Leadership on the development of pilot projects.
  • Development and supervision of project staff and processes related to the implementation of BIM for project controls.
  • Coordination of processes for complete model life cycle development and functionality (3D, 4D and 5D, model development and integration).
  • Coordinate the review and validation of construction models (including 4D/5D contractor model submittals).
  • Assist project teams by providing and formatting information from virtual models throughout the lifecycle of a project, including utilization of models and visualizations for presentations and reporting construction progress.
  • Provide technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery on the project and coach and guide parties in the implementation and application of BIM.
  • Provide technical BIM leadership at a project level. Clearly understanding the client's intended end uses of models developed and continuously implement any improvements with modelling/BIM processes to better align with those end uses
  • Develop, review, approve and maintain the suite of BIM documentation guidelines including BIM standards, implementation plans and quality control procedures.
  • Liaising with Country BIM leads to ensure systems, processes and documentation developed is in line with global standards and best practise.
  • Review progress, compliance and clash detection reports produced by the project team utilizing platforms such as BIM360 or in the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Must be enthusiastic and drive automation processes
  • Able to provide input to estimates for the engineering budget and schedule and to oversee technical resources to meet requirements on large and complex projects.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years' experience required working with BIM environments and applications
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Information Management, IT or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in the integration and application of BIM in a multi-disciplinary environment managing a team of more than 5 BIM modellers

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
