Job summary

HDR is seeking a BIM Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Omaha, NE. You will gain hands-on experience on BIM Management projects, troubleshooting software issues, and learning customization skills in BIM software under the guidance of a senior BIM Designer.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in an engineering program, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Connect with recent graduates and company leaders through mentoring programs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of a BIM Engineering Intern, we'll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on BIM Management projects and excitingcommercial and industrial buildingprojects by applying standard engineering techniques,troubleshooting software and process issues, and learning cutting-edge customization skills in BIM Software.
  • Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior level BIM Designer to assist in the development of construction documents utilizing BIM software such as Revit.
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer 1 year completed towards degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
  • Ability to work and live in Omaha, NE

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
