Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking an Electrical BIM Detailer Coordinator in Las Vegas to design BIM models for power and building systems and coordinate with the VDC team.

You will prepare detailed electrical models, shop drawings for the field, and collaborate across disciplines while maintaining clear communication and adherence to project schedules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of electrical BIM experience in power or building systems.
• Must coordinate at least 1–3 projects as a portfolio.
• Proficient in Autodesk software: Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360.

Responsibilities

• BIM modeling of electrical systems.
• Work under the direction of a VDC Manager.
• Coordinate with other disciplines in VDC coordination meetings.
• Understand BEP and scope of work.
• Prepare electrical model content for coordination meetings.
• Create shop drawings for field use.
• Maintain strong verbal and written communication.
• Interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Possibility of field site visits and project-site deployment.
• Collaborate with Superintendents and Field personnel on installation methods.
• Provide high-level service to clients with concise communication.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES & SCOPE

• BIM modeling of electrical systems.
• Work under the direction of a VDC Manager.
• Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines by VDC coordination meeting attendance.
• Understand BIM scope of work and adhere to BEP (BIM Execution Plan).
• Prepare electrical model content for VDC coordination meetings following electrical code and Helix’s standards.
• Creation of shop drawings to provide to the field.
• Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Understand single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Potential field site visits with a possibility to be stationed on a project site.
• Work with the Superintendents and Field personnel to understand installation means and methods.
• Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3-5 years of electrical BIM experience in power systems and/or building systems infrastructures. Must show 1-3 projects previously coordinated as portfolio.
• Knowledge of Autodesk production software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Point Layout, BIM 360).
• Dedication to learning, expanding knowledge and continuous improvement.
• Superior organizational and communication skills.
• Problem solving, acceptance of responsibility, and work ethic.
• Able to work with teams, supervisors and direct reports that work in remote offices.
• Motivation to complete tasks on time and on budget.
• Must successfully pass a Revit test.
• This is not a remote / work-from-home position.
