Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a BIM Design Intern for Summer 2027 in Lenexa, KS. You will assist in creating multi-discipline 3D models and construction documents, contributing to projects across Power, Industrial, Water, and Infrastructure sectors.

The internship offers exposure to BIM workflows, collaboration with design and engineering teams, and hands-on experience in a leading EPC environment within KIWE. Office-based, with potential project assignments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a vocational training program, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Design, Architectural Technology or BIM design.
• Must communicate effectively with team members and disciplines.
• Knowledge and experience with BIM software (Revit and/or Navisworks) is required.
• Basic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems is required.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in executing multi-discipline project design deliverables in Revit, as assigned by the project lead.
• Collaborate in a team environment with designers and engineers to meet project goals.
• Provide quality checks for deliverables per company standards.
• Participate in BIM/Revit process, tool and standard development/maintenance.
• Familiarize with Kiewit design-build engineering processes.
