Job summary

Lake HVAC is seeking a BIM Coordinator to drive model development and coordination on midsize to large commercial projects in a fast-paced environment. You will review 3D models, conduct clash detection, and manage BIM documents to ensure constructability and quality.

Ideal candidates bring Revit/NavisWorks/AutoCAD proficiency, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across coordination meetings, design reviews, and site visits.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework in construction or architecture.

• Proficient PC skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review and create 3D models from drawings provided by GC/engineers.
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks.
• Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit.
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members.
• Early design review and constructability analysis.
• Maintain and update BIM project documents.
• 3D model quantity extraction and verification.
• Support 4D scheduling and simulation using NavisWorks.
• Site visits for coordination purposes and layout submission.
• Collaborate with foremen, PMs and clients during coordination.

Job description

As a BIM Coordinator with Lake HVAC you will be working in a fast paced construction environment driving exceptional quality and service for midsize to large commercial projects.

• Review/Create 3D Models from General Contractors/Engineers Drawings
• Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using NavisWorks Manage
• Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
• Early design review and constructability analysis
• Manage / Update BIM Project Documents
• 3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification
• 4D Scheduling / Simulation using Autodesk NavisWorks
• Technical management of project BIM data sets
• Perform Job site visits to for all coordination purposes
• Meet w/ Foreman and Project Managers (PMs) during layout & submission process
• Attend Coordination Meetings w/ clients and Lake PMs & Foreman as required
• Work with estimating department on project initiation, drawing distribution and manufacturer / subcontractor quotations

Job Qualifications

Will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, hardworking and have the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Will need the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Specific qualification includes:

• Knowledge in Autodesk Revit, NavisWorks & AutoCAD
• Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
• Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Completed coursework in Construction, Architecture or an equivalent combination of training and or work experience.
• BIM knowledge and interest in working with Construction Technology
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
