Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a CAD Intern (Hourly) to assist in developing, creating, and refining Revit models for all campus buildings within the Facilities Information Systems group. You will convert existing drawings into BIM models and support architects on renovation projects.

Key duties include reading PDF construction documents, updating AutoCAD drawings, and contributing to GIS-related BIM tasks. The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration with the FIS team.

Qualifications

• Completion of A&E CAD - Architectural Specialization courses or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to read architectural drawings and translate them into BIM models.
• Familiarity with Autocad drawings, Revit modeling, and BIM workflow.

Responsibilities

• Create Revit models for campus buildings for GIS and renovations.
• Convert floor plans, elevations, and site plans to BIM models from .dwg files.
• Read PDF construction documents to build accurate as-built BIM models.
• Assist with AutoCAD drawings for FIS team and campus site plans.
