Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.
• Strong proficiency in alpha-numeric and numeric data entry with high accuracy.
• Certification in Phlebotomy or Phlebotomist Certification to understand clinical data relevant to billing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
• Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of medical billing specialists to achieve departmental goals and maintain high-quality standards.
• Oversee accurate entry of patient data into billing systems, ensuring completeness and correctness.
• Manage submission and follow-up of insurance claims, addressing denials and discrepancies to maximize reimbursement.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify billing information and resolve issues.
• Monitor billing workflows and performance metrics, generating reports and recommending process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and internal procedures.
• Provide training and ongoing support to team members on billing software and data standards.
